Llysfaen Community Council Welsh Policy.

The Community Council area has an approximate welsh speaking population of 21.1% based on census information provided by Conwy County Borough Council.

The Welsh Language Commission for Wales advises that areas with less than 30% welsh speakers may hold a policy which allows a small Council to respond appropriately to requests for welsh language translations.

Llysfaen Community Council welcomes correspondence and telephone calls in English or Welsh.  Where the Clerk is unable to hold a conversation in Welsh, a welsh speaking Councillor will return the call,

Further information about the Welsh Language Policy is available following the ratification of the Policy which is to be reviewed at the  AGM.
